Corbyn's 1st Birthday!

Wow...a year already?!?! That's crazy! Seems like just yesterday we were heading out the door to go to the hospital to meet our little girl! Corbyn has been the most special gift ever and we enjoy watching her grow and learning from her everyday. She is a miracle and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. She started walking in Arkansas at 11 months of age and has been on the go ever since! Corbyn is really the most "easy-going" baby (well, I guess toddler now!) I have ever met...and she has just the sweetest disposition. We are absolutely in love with her and don't know what we ever did without her!

Let's see...what is up in Corbyn's world lately....she LOVES turtles, fish, flowers and leaves, enjoys being outside, loves watching her Signing Times videos and Yo Gabba Gabba, likes her loveys and books, uses about 20 sign gestures (says "do" for "dog" and that's it for verbal words right now!), is still attached to her bottles (I'm nervous about having to cut those out!), enjoys listening to her daddy play the guitar, loves to show all of her food and toys to Josie, and loves eating Cheerios! She has taken another airplane trip to Arkansas (pictures to come soon) where she met Snoop Dogg! Corbyn has also been to the Baltimore Aquarium recently where she loved watching the dolphin show and seeing all of the fish and turtles. She is still a major momma's girl, but no complaining here! I love all of my snuggles from her! Ganny and Pappy drove up from Arkansas for her first birthday. Pappy made her a very special toy box and stool with her name on it...she will treasure them for years to come, I'm sure. We had her small family party at Gigi and Pop's. Aunt Kallie made her a special birthday cake..yum yum! Corbyn still HATES getting her diaper and clothes changed and getting in her car seat...does not like to be restricted at all! She loves her freedom!

Pumpkin Patch Farm

We had so much fun taking Corbyn to a local pumpkin/animal farm this morning! She was so excited to see the pumpkins, flowers, and animals, and had a blast on the hayride! Such fun memories we made. Corbyn will enjoy the farm even more next fall when she's able to walk around on her own...although she's almost at that point now! She has taken 1-2 steps on her own several times, but remains quite cautious!

Corbyn--10 months

Wow...10 months already?!? Where has time gone? Corbyn is now able to stand on her own briefly for a few seconds...she will be walking soon I'm sure! She says "do" for "dog" and "hi", and continues to use her signs. Corbyn loves looking at pictures, especially of herself. Her feelings get hurt pretty easily these days and she sure knows how to look pitiful when she wants something! She has 4 teeth and has been tolerating teething pretty well overall. Corbyn LOVES going to "school" and practically jumps out of my arms when we get there! She also loves her sleepovers with her Aunt Kallie, Aunt Shanny, and GiGi and Pop...boy, does she get lots of attention! Corbyn is eating a variety of foods these days and even gets "real" lunches packed for her for school! She's such a big girl!

Corbyn 9 months

Corbyn is growing so fast! She is definitely developing her own cute personality and enjoys exploring and learning. She loves taking things apart, pulling items out of containers/baskets, looking at pictures in books, and taking baths. She produces more sounds now and uses gestures to sign "more, dog, eat, all done, milk, fish". Corbyn has also learned (not sure where from) how to shake her head (whole body actually) "no"--she will touch something that we have distracted her from previously, looks at us, and shakes her head 'no'. So darn sweet! And so smart! She loves watching her Signing Time video and you can see her soaking it all up! Corbyn has also enjoyed trying out all different kinds of foods. She is pulling herself up and trying to stand on her own, but no walking yet. Still HATES to get her diaper or clothes changed! Corbyn loves daycare and will often fuss when we come and pick her up! She has spent a few weekends with Gigi and Pop and loves her time with them. Aunt Kallie also helps us out A LOT--we so appreciate our family! Matt and I went out of town a few weeks ago for Natalie and BJ's wedding and had a fabulous time! Although we did miss our girls! Josie doesn't really care so much about Corbyn, but Corbyn LOVES watching and touching Josie. So cute! Her 9-month pediatrician appt. went well--50% for weight (20 lbs), 75% for height, and 90% for head!

Fun times with Ganny!

We had so much fun during Ganny's visit...went to several baby gym classes, took strolls around the city, went out to eat, and played, played, played! We can't wait to see our Arkansas family again in October...GO HOGS!

More Beach Pics

More 8 month pics!

Corbyn enjoyed her first shopping cart ride today...for about 15 minutes, then she was done and wanted to be held the rest of the time! Her new favorite toy is our shoes. she loves trying to gather them all together! And Josie loves to watch her play! Once Corbyn leaves a toy, Josie has to "examine" it and often tries to copy Corbyn's play...too cute! Corbyn loves playing with balls and seems to learn new vocabulary words every day. She responds to words like "ball, book, dog, josie, daddy" consistently. She also loves songs and is familiar with tons of baby tunes/rhymes! We just love our little girl more and more everyday!!!
